Abstract

The article deals with the preparation, content, implementation and results of the reform of the state village, carried out by the military and statesman P.D. Kiselev, who was granted the counts dignity for it. The views, plans and actions of the reformer are highlighted. The ambiguous assessment of the results of the reform given in the domestic historiography is analyzed.
