The presented article continues to use the method of content analysis in relation to the processing of demographic sources: annual reports and reports of governors and heads of district administrations. The authors expanded the geography of the study by examining the non-chernozem regions of Central Russia. An analysis of the results obtained allows us to single out both typical and specific features of regional demographic policy. The article was carried out within the framework of the project of the Russian Science Foundation, grant 18-18-00187 "Strategies for the demographic behavior of the rural population of the south of Central Russia in the XX - early XXI century."
